Great for the price!
Customer Video Review Length:: 3:23 MinsI am using this rig for my Sony NEX-3 camera and Sony Z1U camcorder! The build quality is great with the matte box being all plastic and the frame being metal. Managed to mount it on a tripod and the shoulder mount works well. Does require a lot of tightening and set up time would be around 25min max. I've provided pictures above of my set up for reference. The follow focus has a long enough cord to fit pretty much all lens sizes. The white ring around the follow focus allows me to make measurement markings on it using a sharpe marker and cleans off nicely. Over all nice set for the pro and beginner.

Great little Rig!
The pictures are very accurate to what this thing looks and feels like. I was originally worried it would be light, or that the rails would be some sort of plastic, but its not. This rig has a nice quality feel to it. rails are aluminum I believe, very solid. The follow focus is very solid. I am very happy with this rig. I am 6'1 200lbs and this thing feels great in my hands.A couple things to note. The barn doors are plastic, as well as the hinges for it, its fine for now, but I could imagine them drooping over time, or losing their grip. Metal would be better. Make sure you add weights to the back to balance out the rig otherwise it will be very front heavy.

Great for most applications
I shoot with a 60d. mostly weddings but have been doing more music videos and short films. for weddings this would work but most of the stuff i do i use monopods and tripods for a stable platform. this is great for everything else when you need to look around and get shots you cant get with stable pods.its sturdy (metal) and easy to use. compact also.it has 4 main configurations but with an slr i only see 3 as practical. (shoulder mount close to eye,two handed (2 variations)its also super cheap now. 60$ rather than 200$you can add tons of extras to it if you want. they have 1/4 threads everywhere for lights, mics, and monitors.

Great Item and very versitle
I was very suprised with the rig. I have to say that is alot more than I expected. I used the rig 2 days after recieving it with my Canon T2i to film a wedding. Did the job extremely well. I used it as a shoulder mount with an eye cup attached to the lcd screen. Everything lined up well and was a comfortable fit for over 8 hours of shooting time. One big thing that has the be done to this rig is weight addition to the rear. There is a pre tapped hole on the lower section of the shoulder support grips and all you need to do is go down to the hardware store and get a decently long bolt and a bunch of large washers and add as many as you need until you find a well balanced point. The setup looks professional and does its job well. Highly recommend this item if you are looking for a rig that will not break the bank.

Awesome Light for the $$
Customer Video Review Length:: 3:09 MinsCheck out this video review of the CN-160. I highly recommend using this light. It was a lifesaver in a low light wedding event. I mainly shoot video, so this light is awesome for the $$. This light is so bright, I've even used it as a fill light in various lighting situations.Update:After using the light a little longer, I'm still a huge fan for the price. However, I should mention a couple of cons (all of which are minor imo).1. The tungsten filter is too orange for my tastes. So, if you are relying on this light because of the tungsten filter, you may want to reconsider or make your own filter. There's a nice little slot where the filters slide into.2. The construction is plastic, however, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's cheap plastic. I feel comfortable with the construction, but don't expect it to be indestructible.All in all, this light still gets 5 stars.

Fantastic light for video
This video light looks similar to one I paid $100.00 for over a year ago except it has been improved. This video light is much brighter and the adjustable bracket has been "beefed up" and holds steady. The original versions arm would flop down over the course of the evening but this one doesn't do that. I shoot weddings several times a year and I find that if I use two of these on stands to light up a dance floor and use one on my video camera I never have a lighting problem. This company has the best price that I have found, enough so where you can afford to purchase several to light up dark areas of your video shoot. A great light and a great deal.

Great lighting for event videography
I am a wedding videographer and constantly have issues when venues turn down the lights for the reception. I used this light for the first time this weekend and was very impressed. Despite it's size it is incredibly light weight. There is a toggle switch which turns the light on as well as functioning as a dimmer. The light can go from what I would call "fill" level to almost lighting the whole room. It gave me enough options to provide enough light throughout the entire evening. It came with two filters which help some, but I found the stock white filter to provide the perfect level and tone for the event. Battery life seems great. I used 6 AA and did not have to change the batteries until almost the end of the evening (I had been recording for almost 3 hours at that point). My only negative comment would be the plastic base it sits on. It fit nicely into my shoe mount, but was hard to get the right angle. For the price it can't get any better! Can't wait until my next...

great rig for the price
I was a bit nervous ordering this for my 60d but I figured for the price what the heck. Well let me tell you I'm very impressed, this is a great rig for the money. The follow focus is clean. Im not to thrilled with the lens ring so I just ordered a a jrig ring which should allow for a better lens attachment and allow me to keep the extra battery grip I just purchased installed on the camera. Many people have complained about the plastic thumb locks. I think the quality of the thumb locks are fine they just look cheep. So I went on EBay and ordered some brushed aluminum thumb locks for around 20 bucks.

Good, Not Great
As a professional videographer on a tight budget, I'm always looking for a great deal when it comes to equipment purchases. After doing some research on price, quality and features I settled on the ePhoto Shoulder Rig. It's a good, but not great, rig. The matte box is particularly disappointing, very cheap plastic, one of the clips almost immediately broke off. If I had to do it all over again, I'd splurge for something a little better constructed. I'll certainly get my money's worth out of this rig, but in the long term I don't think it will hold up to rigorous use...

Great Stabilization!
I have to say that I'm very pleased with this product. Slight modifications make this PERFECT!
This is a well-built product but needs a bit of "love" to make it really useful. First you need to shore up the handle locking devices and then you need to add weights to the picture. Aside from the weights, 1 trip to Lowes is all you need for all of the new parts.Locking devices. Aside from the pivot point on the 2-part handle system at the back of this rig, remove both the plastic knobs and the carriage bolts that hold all three handle assemblies. Replace them with the following: (ensure you retain the clear rubber washers!)1/4-20 2 Inch hex bolts. Can be full thread or partial. Both will fit.1/4-20 Wing nuts.I bought 5 bolts and 6 wing nuts.Make sure that when you are putting everything back together you put the rubber washers back where they were!! The first time you tighten this new locking system down you will notice the difference. The previous system is just plain shoddy.To secure weights to the rig...

Amazing rig for the price!
When I first saw this pop up on amazon I was very skeptical, I know you usually get what you pay for. After getting this I realized when you spend $500-$1000+ on a rig and follow focus you pay for the brand name (red rock, zaucto, etc).This rig/follow focus seems very sturdy. When I took it out of the box I was expecting a very light cheap set up, but the whole thing has a very high quality feel. The only thing that I could see maybe breaking years down the road are the blue thumb tightening screws since they are plastic.The follow focus is very nice, the whole system has no play. The final gear to the lens has a SMALL amount of play nothing I am concerned about. The gear for the lens stays in place and I have not had any issues, I just need one for each lens now. I trimmed about an inch off the end so I didn't have as much hanging off the end and I can still get around all the lenses I have.The mounting block has 4 tripod mounting holes and...

Very Impressed!
So I have been staring at this item for almost two months now...To say the least i was very skeptical...I finally decided to bite the bullet and make the purchase, I figured the worse that could happen is I loose out on shipping and decide to return it...BUT WHY WOULD I EVER DO THAT! Now that it is in my hands I really don't understand why anyone would spend big bucks on big name brand stuff. I am a video production major and also film weddings and other free lance projects. Trust me this is worth the buy! I have my Canon 7D on it with a 24-105mm L series lens and it fits perfectly. Overall, the rig is very nice. I'm happy with it. Easy to hold, and the mount is broad enough to use HD DSLR or full sized camcorder like the Canon XH-A1. I have only tried it out around the house, making home movies of our new puppy, but even though there's no counterweight, it isn't heavy on your arms.Hand Grips are comfortable. The machining isn't quite precise, as the holes are VERY tight, and it is difficult to slip the rods through. I needed to pry it open with a flat sided screwdriver. However, the threads are tight and responsive. The thumbscrews are plastic, so we'll see how long they last. But I think it is a great option for newbies who can't afford Zacuto or Cinevate rigs.If you are looking for other options, I would choose eBay. There are better rigs and better prices. I also saw this same item that came straight from the factory for $290. That set includes a chintzy matte box that looks pretty useless (I bought it because I needed a follow focus)...
