Excellent Router. DD-WRT Firmware in a few months!
I bought this router after considering EVERY other one on the market as of this review date regardless of price... Literally EVERY other router, from Linksys (610) to Netgear (3700) to D-link (855, 4500, 4300) to Belkin... I do NOT regret it for a second. Every other router seemed to have it's minuses and was more expensive than this one. After a small setup glitch with my comcast modem I've been up and running for weeks with a full signal everywhere in my 2-story house. The product description, and the other reviews here, say a lot.But most of them seem to be missing a few points, which I think will be useful to anyone who is thinking of buying it, or who has already bought it.Most people will be able to use the standard firmware just fine. It's not a problem. DD-WRT, in my experience, wasn't all that great, but was easy to install. Installing Gargoyle massively improved my experience with this router, over either the default firmware OR DD-WRT. Google it, and be prepared to do a lot of digging on their forums. I just got this unit, plugged it in and started burning archives, 25GB at a time. No driver or software installation on my Mac - works native in the OS from the desktop just like burning a CD or DVD (OS 10.6.8). I believe there are also 50GB discs available but they cost more. Nice watch worth its money
I bought this watch during Amazon's deal of the day. Packaging looks simple and does not befit the price tag. The watch is made in Japan and is automatic. While browsing through the manuals, I was a little confused initially as it states automatic yet there is a manual on how to manage eco dive watch. For a day, I was so silly that I left it by the side of my window to charge it but was surprised to see that it had stopped when I returned from work. It's a self-winding watch and also charges through wearing it as per most automatic watches.I paid USD 800 for this lovely beast. No regrets although my friends said that they would rather get a tag for this price. But hey, this is in a different league. You people in America are so lucky to have things sold so cheaply. In singapore, this watch costs USD 1500 after all discounts.I wonder how long the silicon strap can last before it breaks and what is the replacement cost.

Wrong product specification
Under the product specification chart it says that this watch movement is Japanese - quartz. That is wrong; the movement is automatic and clearly says on the watchs' face. I have this watch for 5 years now. Still works great. The only downside is that the watch stops working shortly after you take it off your wrist. I have many automatic watches and this one is the one that dies first.

I'm not sure why people are having such problems with their DIR-665 Xtreme router - I am happy to report that after three solid days of use, the router hasn't even so much as hiccuped for me.My DIR-665 from Amazon Vine is replacing my purchased . For those who know the older DIR-655 model, you will find the updated DIR-665 to be very familiar. In fact other than some cosmetic changes to the faceplate, the physical body is exactly the same between the two products.I'm an IT person so of course I don't read any of the instructions or follow any of the guides. Out of the box I remove the DIR-665, notice it uses the same power adapter as my 655 so I just pull the local LAN cables, the WAN cable and the A/C Adapter and swap them over to the new 665. Great range; some misfeatures but worth it
The good:This router gets great range for the wireless network in our house. I can get wireless now in the far reaches of the basement or upstairs, far away from the office where the router is set. Really, the range is so great I can live with the other hassles and shortcomings of this router.It looks classy.The bad: I also wasn't able to get the LAN port on the router to connect to the WAN port on my SPA-2102 VOIP adapter, which was a hassle (it worked fine when I made the same connection through a 8-port switch). The only way I could solve this problem was to use a second router which could connect to the VOIP. I assume it's some sort of auto-sensing issue, but I didn't really want to spend the time tracking it down. The only way I could solve this problem was to use a second router which could connect to the VOIP. For non-techies, that means that it messed up my Internet phones and basically I can't use this unit with them...

I bought this item based on the feedbacks. I'm an IT guy. The setup and configuration was extremely easy, I didn't use the CD at all. I have my VOIP phone, Wii, 5 computers, wireless Epson ARTISON 800, netflix boxes all running at the same-time and using Wireless "G". I'm rejoicing over the optimal performance. BACKGROUND - I'll provide some background so that people can put my comments in context. First, I have what I consider an average understanding of computers and home network technology. I wired my house with a Cat 5e ethernet system. My home network now includes 3 desktops, 1 netbook, 2 laptops, iPods, network printer, network attached storage device (2TB RaidX), patch panel, 8-port switch, router, and cable modem. The patch panel, switch, router, and modem are located in a panel in the basement where all my computer, video, and phone cables originate. With the recent addition of the netbook and ipods, I decided to add a wireless access point for greater mobility. I wanted a device with good range, data transfer capacity, and security. I couldn't care less about "peripheral" features that are often bundled with todays routers such as the NAS capabilities. I purchased a Alfa AWUS036H adapter but had issues trying to install the driver via my USB port on my computer. So I purchased the R36 and plugged the AWUSH036H in the back of the R36 router and I now have 5 bars. Whereas before I had only 1 bar with a $75 Netgear long-range wi-fi adapter.I am over 300' from the router where I get my connection from.Have to thank William L. at Alfa for his time & help assisting me in hooking up and configuring the router and adapter and getting me back online with 5 steady green bars. Okay, I was looking for a product just like this one claimed to be, a router that used my AWUS036H and made it's signal a hot spot for other wireless devices in the house, but the reviews stunk so bad I never ordered it. Then one day a review talked about a firmware 1.2.0.6 dated May 23,2001. It said it fixed the problems and worked great. well.. I decided to order it. I set it up and couldn't download the firmware cause it kept dropping the connection so often. (just like the previous reviews said) I did a google search for the firmware file, and found it. Hooked the AWUS036H directly, downloaded the file, hooked up the R36 and flashed it. WOW!! kind of a pain to do, but it has worked flawlessly for me for about a month now. Skills Test Once you pass the desired knowledge tests you can schedule an appointment to take the skills test. One you pass (80% pass score required) the written test you can schedule an appointment to take the road skills test. There are three sections within the skills test and you must pass each section in order to pass and obtain your commercial driver license in New Hampshire.
